In this busy and challenging cleaning and restoration company, which services the entire state of Rhode Island, South Eastern Connecticut and Southern Massachusetts, I directly manage 2 office assistants and help oversee 10 technicians. In a constantly changing environment, I oversee all the office responsibilities including the multi-person schedule, multi phone lines, processing of invoices using Quickbooks, documentation and status of all emergency restoration jobs, time clock/payroll, coaching of employees and the overall professional office standards. I helped create the current system used for all customer information and scheduling as well as assist in the Human Resources for the company including hiring, firing, training and staff development.
Patient Care Coordinator, South County Smiles, Wakefield, RI September 2017 – August 2018
As the Patient Care Coordinator, my role was to make sure this practice succeeded, grew and treated the patient with the utmost care. My duties included being the sole person responsible for the daily schedule which included scheduling patients and coordinating doctors schedules, I also answered patient calls which involved explaining and pitching treatment plans, rescheduling appointments, and questions about procedures. As part of the marketing team, I contributed to marketing efforts to obtain new patients to keep the practice growing.

Shortly after getting married, my chef husband and I decided to take some time to travel and see the world and learn more about its cultures, cuisines and customs. We have traveled to 42 countries in 6 continents! Along with learning about all the different cultures, customs and foods around the world, I developed the blog titled Two Fat Americans which was picked up by Travel & Leisure, Daily Mail, The New York Post and other news outlets around the world. My travel experience and creation of a successful blog contribute and enhance my knowledge and understanding of the world and its people, and showcase my ability to convey it in an approachable way.

After completing my degree at CU Denver in Communications, I took on the role of Customer Care Representative at Boulder Periodontics. My goal was to make sure each and every patient was treated with the utmost care and professional courtesy. My duties included managing the doctors schedules, scheduling patient appointments, treatment planning procedures, giving financial presentations to patients and processing insurance. Along with my day to day aid in the growth of the business, I also managed the social media and marketing aspects including multiple educational study clubs to continue the growth of business to business. This involved going to referring doctors offices and educating them on why our practice was the premier choice. After 6 months with the company, I was promoted to Office Manager where, in addition to my previous roles, I took over accounts receivable, collections, managed referrals, organized special events for the business, was the point person for the staff and patients and was the overall face of the company.

At this internship in my final semester at CU Denver, I gained more knowledge before I graduated. I wrote blogs for various products and businesses, ran social media for various clients, and any other tasks that were needed.

After moving to Denver and starting at CU Denver, I became a Community Assistant for a student housing complex. I helped secure tenants for the fall, and with any and all administrative tasks. After 4 months with the company, I was promoted to Senior Community Assistant where I took lead in determining schedules for all employees, posted ads for leasing and was the point of contact for all employees and tenants.
Account Executive, Yellow Scene Magazine, Erie, CO April 2008- May 2012
I started with this company pitching it to potential readers in the community through local events. Within one month, I was promoted to Account Executive where my primary goal was to sell advertising for the magazine. In addition to sales, I started the social media mission, did freelance photography and maintained my role recruiting new readers for the magazine.
